Thanks to long years of experience preparing students for the TOEFL exam, we have developed a programme of study (syllabus) that not only prepares students to take the exam, but also helps them to achieve their desired results.
We have studied and refined our method over the course of many years, so that today we are able to guarantee improvement in students’ scores and final results. This clearly cannot be achieved without a certain amount of effort and commitment on your part. Students are expected to follow the instructions of the teacher as closely as possible. You must also be prepared to devote time to preparing for the TOEFL outside of the hours spent in the classroom.
Most of our former students have been able to attain their desired scores, thus achieving their dreams of studying in prestigious universities and abroad. For us here at Byron Tree, this is clearly a source of great satisfaction.
Are you ready?

The TOLES was the first Legal English examination to be internationally recognised. The TOLES consists of exams to test 3 levels of language ability. Candidates may choose to proceed through all 3 levels or, as an alternative, to sit only the test that is specific to their language abilities. The test, which is two hours in length, provides lawyers and law students with proof of their ability to cope with routine tasks in English when working in a law firm or attending the law faculty of a university.
The TOLES exam is comprised of 3 levels. Candidates may choose to proceed through all 3 levels of the test in a predetermined order, which is based on a progressive improvement of the student’s level of knowledge of the English language. Otherwise, they can decide to sit any of the exams individually.
TOLES Foundation: A2-B1 | TOLES Higher: B1-B2 | TOLES Advanced: B2-C1
ILEC – International Legal English Certificate
The English language has become the official language for legal, commercial and financial activities at an international level and, as such, is a necessary tool for any lawyer working in an international environment to possess. Companies need to be able to count on their employees having a level of English that allows them to communicate with clients and professionals from other countries, as well as be able to deal with written communications and documents drawn up in English. Recent graduates and law students must be able to prove that they possess these necessary skills.
Directly linked to the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), the Cambridge University Exams are General English exams based on the language as it is used in real-life situations. They consist of five tests, which range from the pre intermediate (A2) to the proficiency level (C2).
Our courses are designed to prepare students for the:
KET – Key English Test
PET – Preliminary English Test
FCE – First Certificate of English
CAE – Certificate in Advanced English
The objective of these courses is to transform the study of the language into a concrete, internationally recognised certification. Click here to see the table of the levels that correspond with the Cambridge exams.
