The Byron Language Development CertTESOL course offers:
4-week, 140 hour intensive course
Ongoing assessment and external moderation by Trinity College
Internationally experienced, qualified, Trinity-approved teacher trainers
Core input sessions including: language awareness (grammar, vocabulary, phonology),
methodology, classroom teaching skills,
materials evaluation and creation, syllabus design and skills development
Guided lesson planning with trainers and fellow trainees, using well known
published course books and other supplementary materials
6 hours of teaching practice with groups of real students at different
levels, with verbal and written feedback from teacher trainers
One-to-one teaching experience with a selected student,
and based on the Learner Profile Case Study of the same student
Observation of qualified teachers with guided observation tasks
Experience learning an Unknown Language and reflecting on the experience
